200 Affordable Homes Despite Economic Chaos: Milestone Road, Oxfordshire

In the last few weeks, we’ve been busily finishing off work before the Christmas break.

Lots to do this year (not least install a new log burner in our office)!

At the end of November, I’m pleased to say we completed the last 38 plots over at Milestone Road in Carterton, Oxfordshire.

This was the culmination of a 3-year project:

• £33 million budget

• 200 plots

• A brand new neighbourhood community of 100% affordable homes, providing a mix of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom houses and apartments in shared ownership, rent to buy, affordable rent and social rent spaces

Working with our partners United Living and Platform Housing Group has been a pleasure.

Actually, this was a project beset by various delays and challenges thanks to economic conditions, so it is even more to their credit that we all finished on time and on budget.

My particular thanks go to Zilvinus/Absolem and the team at Carterton. They’ve been kind enough to comment on numerous occasions on the high standard of our workmanship and finishes and as I say - it’s been a pleasure to work with them because they appreciate what we bring.

And with the property market under pressure, developers need decorators they can count on – contractors who consistently deliver the premium finish that today's buyers demand.
