Award-Winning: 1840 St Georges Gardens

When I got the email about this one, I couldn’t wait to share it:

Our site at the old Springfield Hospital in Wandsworth - now called “1840 St Georges Gardens” – has been recognised for a raft of awards recently for its outstanding quality:

• It scored 95.5% in the 2025 In-House Research ltd Award for Customer Satisfaction.

• The site also picked up the prestigious UK Property awards for Best UK Residential Development, Best Apartment Development London and Best Single Apartment London.

• Our partners City & Country also won the Best Refurbishment Project award earlier in November at the Housebuilder Awards 2025, so congrats to them

1840 Spring Gardens is a luxury residential conversion of the Grade II listed hospital buildings.

And frankly – it looks beautiful.

It’s very satisfying to see it pick up so many awards for the quality of its finish.

Special thanks to Vidmantus, supervisor for the external finishes at 1840 which the whole team here at Philpott and company are particularly proud of (especially when you consider the condition the externals were in before we started, but that’s a story I won’t go into here)!

Oh also - Philpott and Co also picked up Operative of the Month for our team there and our Regional Contracts Manager, Gintaris.
